End of year…

So it is the end of 2011… sigh. I love being home with family and waiting on the ball drop in NYC (hope to be there next year for the big moment!). At least it is warm and cozy in front of my tv and I don’t have to go far to find a clean bathroom…

Still catching up on blog regenerating… and re-announcing my announcements for the last few months as I drag over my old posts and refresh them. Here we go:

I sold a short! Yay! SENATOR, MINE–a time travel–to Decadent Publishing’s 1 Night Stand series. I am so excited. As soon as I saw the series and read a few books, I was hooked and wanted to write a story. The rest is history. Ancient Roman history. No word on a pub date or anything, but I will update as I get details. Definitely a happy day when I got the contract.

If you aren’t familiar with the series, you can check it out here: http://www.decadentpublishing.com/index.php?cPath=75_105  There are a lot of really great authors contributing stories to the series and you can get just about any flavor story! Pick up one or five to read! I promise you won’t be disappointed. 🙂

Review: Somewhere in Between by Stacey Kennedy

Somewhere in Between (1NightStand, #35)Somewhere in Between by Stacey Kennedy

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I was happy that Wyatt and Rye returned for another passion-filled evening and Darby was the perfect girl to add to the mix. Wyatt rescues her from a sociopathic serial killer and feels the need to protect her – who wouldn’t love that? Stacey finesses the three together in a believable match. Great short read!

Hunger Games Review

The Hunger Games (The Hunger Games, #1)The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

ok, I am the last person in the world to read this book. I had to sneak in time to read it, so it took me a few days. Normally, I would not have set it down. I found myself wanting to know more – but that is the world-builder in me. If the book is stellar – I want more about the world because I want to step into it. Like now. Well, not as a Tribute. Not really as a person living there either. But I do want to see, touch, hear, feel, smell it… I surely hope the movie lives up to the book (fat chance, right?)

Blog move.

As much as I hate to have had to do it, I have moved my blog and website. Sigh. What a pain! I am very hopeful that being here at WordPress.com will be a much more enjoyable experience than (shall remain nameless place) where I (endured months of torture) hosted my website recently.  All my previous content is lost, but I hope that my followers will find their way here eventually.

I already love the widgets here where I can share Facebook and Twitter stuff that I have envied on my author friends’ pages and I really like that I can showcase some pretty covers and even some great trailers (once I figure out how to do so…).

Apologies to those who just hopped through to my blog on the Christmas “Stuff your Stockings” blog hop–I am assured that you can still find me here, though I have lost all your lovely comments, sigh. 😦  I will make it up to you when we do the Valentine’s hop, so stick with me!

thanks!
